Same here,with 13.10, on a relatively small 23MB file - very high cpu,
though it is using <100MB of memory! With 6gb RAM you would think it
would be able to open it. Ironically, the full IDE MonoDevelop opens the
file in a second.

Could we backport the saucy's (or trusty's ) dmidecode to Precise? I try
to find the bzr branch but lp:dmidecode seems a bit outdated.

using xrandr to add the 1280x720 resolution does work and looks fine,
but it does not persist reboots, and there is no option I can find in
the Displays tool to at add it as implied. Since it was an option in
windows I'm assuming there's something different about how the panel
and/or cards support
