Sometimes when I lock the screen, I can't get in again. I have to press
Ctrl+Alt+F1 and kill X or reboot to get in again.
The problem is actually that I can't type in the password because the
text input field is no longer there. See attached picture.

We have the same problem in several desktops. In 12.04 twinkle worked
OK, we have updated to 14.04 and twinkle doesn't show any GUI. If I
launch it from command line, it loads the config and leaves in in a
terminal command live, where I can answer call typing answer.

There are some hints in the older related bug #588530 (Automounting not
prevented with GParted in Ubuntu 10.04). It appears that this could be
a bug in gparted not locking the drive to prevent automounting, or the
automounter not respecting the gparted lock.

I can confirm this behavior. What is happening is the flow of the
website is not working correctly on a smaller screen. You can see this
for yourself if you resize the webbrowser-app window on the desktop. I
am going to mark this Won't Fix for oxide-qt and I imagine the same
should be done for

If it ain't broken why the F..K fix it. Locked out to, Can't even do updates!
Love Ubuntu but this goes to far! I am not a tecky so is 10 times harder for me
to fix it. I didn't like windows because of the hacking now I don't like thise
who program updates just for the sake of issuing an update.
What we'd like to know is how you set this machine up - is it a xubuntu
install with ubuntu added, ubuntu with xubuntu installed, ubuntu with
thunar installed.
I've not been able to confirm this issue - more detail of how you got to
where you are will help. Thanks.
