Thanks, no i have deinstalled uvesafb but have no vga console. If i use splash
in the grub kernel line i cannot enter any thing. Deleting splash now yields in
a black screen, but i can type in the passphrase an get an kde plasma
workspace

My MacBook Pro 8,2 was giving me the same problem on ubuntu 14.04,
it stopped after i unset the autospawn of pulseaudio:
mkdir ~/.pulseaudio
echo autospawn = no ~/.pulse/client.conf

My bad, I was looking at the manual page via Google which apparently got
me an older version of the doco.
It would be nice if the old syntax could still work (at least during a
transition period), but I guess that's squarely an upstream issue.
