Ok, found the fix on an partially related AskUbuntu question. I just had
to empty the gst1.0 cache:
rm -r ~/.cache/gstreamer-1.0
And then everything worked. The Ubuntu update tool maybe screwed up at
some point with this.

I have the exactly same issue with fedora on my lenovo yoga 3 pro (Dual-
Boot with Win8.1). I found out, that if I’m booting Windows first and
than restart, bluetooth works fine. If I boot fedora after a shutdown,
bluetooth finds nothing. The problem occurs also after a suspend to disk
(hibernate,
WLB, thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Oneiric reached EOL on May 9,
2013.

The file system which I posted in #6 no longer triggers a bug in
1.42.12. It looks like it was fixed as a side effect of commit
9a1d614df217. @bigeel, what version of e2fsck were you using?
Could you try using e2fsprogs 1.42.12 and see if that fixes the problem
for you?
