I had the same problem as Steve Murphy (murf-parsetree) #67 with my
Logitech M557 mouse.
Following Սահակ (petrosyan) #68 instructions has completely fixed the problem

So far, this bug has not happened when inkscape is called with

Confirmed here too. This issue has not been resolved in ubuntu 14.04
64bit. Bought a brandnew toshiba S50-A /S50t-A with no sound after
succesfull installation with a dualboot installation with windows 8 in
UEFI mode. Sound indicators work, but silence from speakers and
headphone jacks...

Has this bug regressed since 2011? My battery indicator shows a red-
with-a-little-left icon, when I have 1h10min of battery left (so
definitely over 30min). The percentage is at 22%. (on ubuntu 14.10)

Also, please keep e.g. laptop use in mind when designing this. I'm currently on

I have observed that copy/paste _reproducible_ stops working after
renames.
Try this:
1. Open a folder/dir with subfolders/subdirs
2. Expand one of the subfolders, not by clicking/entering it, but by clicking
the triangle tree symbol to "expand" next to the dir
3. The subdir's files are revealed
