I don't think it'sa blank page, i think it is actually crashing, if you
let it open for a while, you'll see it disappear and if you start it
from the command line it crashes.

This seems rather unmaintained. No Debian updates since 2009, with
patches sitting in their bug queue. No upstream releases since 2003.
Additionally, we have an alternative already in main: libxml-libxml-
perl. There's even a Debian bug about migrating from xpath-perl to
libxml-perl:
Today I learned that Apache raises its rlimit for open files to 8192 by
default. This is controlled by APACHE_ULIMIT_MAX_FILES.

Can someone please reopen this bug!
I have just tried the test file I attached 18 months ago again. The
margins are even more broken now! Printing the test with shrink to fit
enabled shows a 15mm clip at the top and bottom and 4mm each side in
both single sided and duplex modes on A4.
