Hard to tell, the bug isn't constantly there. But I believe it has
something to do with IOMMU. I disabled this in the BIOS, I will see how
this goes and if the bug is still turning back I will try to boot with a
previous kernel.
Also I wanted to install the new Ubuntu 15.04 to see if this solves
I am affected by this bug on a Dell E6520 using Ubuntu 14.04.
Use of the trackpoint freezes the system, maybe every minute. Pressing
Ctrl-Alt F1 followed by Ctrl-Alt F2 unfreezes it. Only solution right
now is an external mouse.

I did, but it didn't work. So what I did instead was version upgrade from
14.10 to 15.04 and the locale and regional format remained unchanged. I may

I'm having a similar problem in Trusty, but Gnome has been saving me for
now as it's the only option that works at login. After logging into
Unity all I get is the wallpaper and cursor.
It started while running 14.10 and the machine simply shut down while I
was on Steam. I've searched a bit and
I don't think we've changed the download side of the server in a long
time.
The size reported by click-package-index is 867687 which matches the UI.
Downloading the file gives a file of that size, and wget reported that many

This actually seems to be an issue with the clamav-daemon package:

I installed Ubuntu GNOME Desktop amd64 with the with the 20150422 vivid
daily ISO on my laptop. The installer finished without any issues and
the system rebooted. When the system started again the grub menu
appeared and I selected Ubuntu. After this the screen went blank

and smooth in ubuntu 14.04.2 (kernel 3.16)

if the reinstallation makes the choice of regions available, but it still
shows limited choice of British Commonwealth countries and the US. As you
