Simple bug but annoying:
When a site is loading, the favorite star is not visible.
Use-case:
you get a website from a friend, or you click a link on a page when the network
suddenly goes away. You want to save that page to look at it later, when your
connection comes

The user can see a drop in performance when frequency is throttled and
is unaware of throttling. So detect and report such a condition, so
the user can check the OCC status

Can you install the version ( 0.9.10.0-4ubuntu15.1~awe4 ) of network-
manager in the phablet-team's telephony PPA and see if it resolves your
problem?
As I mentioned in comment #5, I think your issue is related to bug
#1435776 ( APNs with a Username, but no Password fail ), for which
temporary fix:
instead of
upstream jenkins {
server localhost:8080 fail_timeout=0;
}
we now use
upstream jenkins {
server 127.0.0.1:8080 fail_timeout=0;
}

Anyway with vanilla 3.16 it can't work, even can't be detected.
And focaltech 1.5 is from staging ppa. Try stable 1.4.

I'm upstream developer of fityk and I've got several reports from Ubuntu 14.04
users that the program crashes when using Unity. The workaround is to set
UBUNTU_MENUPROXY=0.
To reproduce:
apt-get install fityk
fityk
and zoom in using a mouse.
