I am able to reproduce this error when installing kubuntu using the non-
manual option use entire disk and also use entire disk with lvm. I am
using the 64 bit installation straight to disk.

As mentioned in comment #6, the firmware works fine on a system(14.04.3, 3.19)
with [0a5c:216a].
An additional note, once the system applied with .hcd firmware even you
remove it later it will still working(reboot, suspend.. etc) until the
next cold boot.

Thanks for your reply. One comments on this: AFAIU the command you
mentioned has to be run once to configure the input method but not every
time you want to start up fcitx.

I've spent about an hour on r128 and r131 with no luck reproducing. I'll
start using this as my main phone tomorrow in hopes of reproducing. Any
idea when the issue started occurring WRT to the logs? (I assume the
logs contain info before _and_ after the bug occurred).

3.16.0-50-generic, what I had before) and neither have them have solved
