eventually just decided that the only workaround for now is a downgrade.
So I installed jetty and libjetty-extra-java 6.1.26-ubuntu1, but then
bumped into a problem with the most recent version of libtomcat6-java

Just curious, how are you handling localization here? Obviously you
can't automatically create a "Music" directory when you insert a card
into a Chinese phone, it has to be "音乐". But then if I take that card
and insert it into a friend's German phone, is it going to understand
that music goes in
Yes, I also got this error today when I installed gThumb from the
repositories the software didn't appeared in Dashboard. But, as a
temporary solution I re-installed gThumb and second time it appeared in
dash.
