But yes, it's true that about the LED, but personally, I don't really

Agreed. This is such a large omission that I am tempted to believe it is
on purpose. There are workarounds to temporarily fix the problem, but
they are so complicated that a novice, such as myself, must employ great
effort to find the temporary fixes. This seems to be a very bad way to

Public bug reported:
According to `man asetkey` only `des-cbc-crc:v4` algorithm is supported
which is obsolete because it's considered insecure. The [OpenAFS quick
start guide](http://docs.openafs.org/QuickStartUnix.pdf) recommends to
not use it.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04
I tested the mainline kernel 4.6.0-040600rc7, and the problem does not
occur with this version. I also tested 4.4.10-040410, in which the
problem did occur. It seems that the problem is indeed fixed in the
upstream 4.6 kernel series, but not in 4.4.

Title:
I agree with Aimo, since this seems to be such a simple bug to fix, it
doesn't make sense that this hasn't been added to the current LTS 16.04
- it was reported around 3 years ago! Is this something that has been
pulled from Debian, if so should we be reporting it to them?
