a plain Ubuntu does not enable USB autosuspend for input devices. Maybe
you implemented something like 'powertop --autotune' in your rc.local?
I suggest you install tlp again (it's in the official repos now), start

Newer versions of openjdk-8-jre-headless provide a .jinfo file that uses
a new tag "jdkhl" (for JDK headless). Since update-java-alternatives
doesn't know anything about that tag,
I am running Kubuntu 16.04 with the latest patches and Plasma 5.6. A few days
ago I installed KGpg and created a key. It ran perfectly. Then an update came
down the pipe. Now, I cannot start KGpg from my user menu or from a user

Same problem here, driving me crazy because it's unpredictable. Last
night I copied 500GB (movies 1-2 GB) from an old external HDD to a new
external external HDD. Finished the next morning without problems. Next
I wanted to copy 5GB and the transfer became slower until it came to a
halt. The system
I tested v4.7-rc7, specifically this deb:
