We are experimenting with using a Debian based distro
and this bug seems to be in all of them. We currently use
OpenSUSE 13.2/Leap 42.1 and this works perfectly. Is it a
daft question to ask why it works for them and not you ?

mount no longer updates /etc/mtab in 16.04 when performing a mount. This
is a regression against 14.04.
I know that /etc/mtab should be a link to /proc/mounts but we have
reasons to not make this link. mount should behave as described in the
man-page.

Hello,
I switched to Ubuntu Xenial hoping to get an easy installation of
redmine, without the config hassle of the previos versions of redmine.
But currently , it looks more complicated then the old fashioned way.
There is no documention about how to install and configure
After updating from 14.04 LTS to 16.04 LTS I see the same issue with
Intel J1900 (also baytrail) and the current standard amd64 kernel
4.4.0-34. Video freezes and no input reaches the system any more. No
possibility to get out of the deadlock, no keyboard and no further logs
produced.
