I've the same system and the sound card. I've installed Ubuntu 16.04.
I am able to get audio from speakers and headphones but not when I insert a
HDMI cable connected to my TV. The Video output is perfectly fine though. I'm
using NVidia graphic driver(proprietary and tested version 361.42).

Chromecasts on our network, v1 and v2 and whilst the previous version of
Chromium worked just fine with the plugin installed this new version is
broken in some regard.
google-chrome-stable 53.0.2785.101-1 package does work, however.
