Ok sounds like it could certainly be the same or very similar.
As to moving forward with this, the various Ubuntu touch patches are

I'm seeing the same issue as @Chesler #20.
On Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS. Log files are created but logging keeps going in
the rotated file. ie: Auth.log.1 until rsyslog is restarted.

I am also affected on both 4.4.0 and the newest 4.8.0rc6. My laptop is
a Acer R3-471T-53LA with Qualcomm Atheros QCA9565 / AR9565
Wifi/bluetooth combo chip. The adapter works for Wifi, but is not
detected as a Bluetooth device.

I confirm that the issue is not reproduced with gtk3 backend.
I also confirm that installing libreoffice-gtk3 is indeed enough, no
need to use start option SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3.
But unfortunately, there is a number of gtk3-related issues. For e

This is an enhancement.
Similar to how Android has permissions, you can see which are the per
app requirements for working, and once you have installed, you can see
which permissions you gave to an app.
Right now you can only do the latter, using `snap interfaces snap_name`.
This bug was fixed in the package qemu - 1:2.6.1+dfsg-0ubuntu3
