Ubuntu 16.04.1.
KSysGuard shows XOrg eating up 5% - 20% CPU in bursts, then dropping
down to 3%.
The only workaround is to reboot. Uptime was 9 days.

Turned out to be a hardware issue. My bluetooth would give errors on
startup and only work intermittently. Edited
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf and blacklisted bluetooth and btusb.
Also disabled it via: sudo systemctl mask dbus-org.bluez.service. Now
works suspending works like a charm.

Raymond / Andrew Piziali, the next step is to fully commit bisect from
kernel 4.4.0-21 to 4.4.0-34 in order to identify the last good kernel
commit, followed immediately by the first bad one. This will allow for a
more expedited analysis of the root cause of your issue. Could you
please do this
Figuring out what dirmngr is doing in these cases, can be aided with
cranking up verbosity and logging the output, e.g.:
keyserver hkp://ipv6.pool.sks-keyservers.net
log-file /tmp/tmp.pVKaTIdXs8/.gnupg/dirmngr.log
debug-level guru
Options in $GNUPGHOME/dirmngr.conf. Followed by gpgconf --kill
Using [ipv6] address form seems to have regressed upstream. From logs,
it appears that '[' ']' are dropped, and request is attempted to the
2a03 host for [2a03:4000:6:40af::1]. I shall report that upstream.
