- Without any application window being opened, tapping the Super key does not
display the Dash.
- The Dash opens if at least one application window is open.
- Without any application window being opened, holding the Super key does
display the Launcher.

Backintime was running a backup when the external hard drive it was
writing to was accidentally removed. Backintime then started to show a
continuous stream of error messages in small growl messages, which could
not be easily turned off or silenced. Even when I killed the Back
Attached is a screenshot of one of hundreds of messages I received from
Backintime until I purged it from my system. There was no other obvious
way to turn this off from the gui or command line.

I tried:
sudo dpkg -P unity-scope-gdrive account-plugin-google account-plugin-facebook
sudo apt-get install -f
Which seems to have worked.

Looks like something changed between the GTK3 version in 16.04 and 16.10
that partly screw SWT GTK3 support.
Here is how I reproduce
Well I used to maintain compiz so have a rough idea.
The desktops is just a window from nautilus that is composited by
compiz. The bug probably lays between those. Not Mesa.
