Thanks for this update to glibc. It resolved segmentation fault problems
when running Oracle on a T460p Thinkpad. Even loading the newest
microcode could not resolve the segmentation faults but this version of
glibc makes everything run smoothly. No sideeffects detected.

I'm also experiencing this bug in 16.10 with Gnome PPA's installed
though. It seemed to occur when I upgraded the kernel to 4.8.1 with
synaptic. Since then I can only boot into a Wayland session and can't
launch synaptic either, though I can install other package managers.

This is just a display problem - a snapshot is correct, so it really
looks like a radeon driver problem, instead of an xorg problem.
The wrong colors are always different, so every cycle produces a

I did a new ubuntu 16.04 installation. All worked great until i tried to
test the speaker sound. When I did it the analog stereo option
dissappeared and only had digital and hdmi option. The sound card is
onboard. With ubuntu 14.04 i havent any problem.

When waking up the system from a suspend-resume cycle, the display most times
shows distorted colours.
As a workaround one can switch to the linux console (VT) and back to fix the
display.
Alternatively triggering DPMS also fixes the problem (xset dpms force off ;
sleep

due to the low version of libvdpau-va-gl will cause vlc memory leak.
I try to compile the latest version of libvdpau-va-gl, this issue fixed,
and also can play full screen.

Quick Tip: Inside the container, for devel purposes only, you can remove
gnupg2 (and -agent, etc) and stay with v1 only. Creating a link
/usr/bin/gpg1 to /usr/bin/gpg. This will allow debuild scripts to finish
building packages.

all changes are to the Ubuntu only bits - so that part is ok until we merge and
reduce further Delta.
Reviewing your latest diff I don't like that the system service should fail if
SMT is not set.
Especially since it exits before making any of its usual adjustments which is
