the kernel image, making an initramfs with update-initramfs is not going
to work, it first issues a warning about the missing /lib/modules for

When leaving JETTY_HOST empty, instead of listening on all IPs (0.0.0.0
- IPv4 and IPv6), the server is listening on localhost (IPv4 127.0.0.1).

This is actually a bug in the control center, not fprintd.
It displays the button/dialog as soon as the D-Bus address is available.
I don't think that fprintd should depends against libpam-fprintd as the
daemon works OK without the pam module being installed

Worth mentioning in my particular case (#7 above), the /dev/sd[a-z]9
partition has its type set to "Solaris reserved 1" so it should not even
be probed really. Appears os-prober isn't actually looking at the
partition type flags, or at least isn't blacklisting flags that
shouldn't be probed.

This bug can be particularly brutal on systems with a large amount of
storage. I am running a storage server with 24 drives in ZFS pools.
Every single one of those drives generates many messages; there's 19
lines per drive so in my case, 456 lines of filesystem errors in my
dmesg every time

To all those who could hardly await a fix: Since it is closed source
driver, this issue has to be resolved upstream. So far, Nvidia has not
provided an update, although (according to Aaron Plattner) they are
working on it [1]. Just downgrading isn't always preferable, either.

Which version of stress-ng are you using? With the latest V0.07.08 I
get:

I was tempted to mark this bug as invalid since you compiled e2fsprogs
from git and aren't using Ubuntu's e2fsprogs. However, I see that
yakkety (16.10) and zesty both have a new enough e2fsprogs to support
the -d option. I tried your reproducer in yakkety,
