I had the same conclusion and IMO we don't need a MIR.
In fact on merging recent libvirt we get this "for free" without a Delta
to be added.
I haven't tested the case of uninstalled numad yet, as I was (I'm still)
waiting for the reporters to confirm if the suggested way of inclusion

* I unplugged the network cable so that the ltsp-server didn't have an ip.
* I ran `service dnsmasq restart`.
* I plugged the network cable back in.
* ...and the problem came back again, i.e. dnsmasq replied on invalid range.

it replies even when it gets an IP on subnet=10.161.254.0/24.

Thanks for the advice on installing 0.5.1-4, though I haven't done it
since the fix I applied solved my problem and it is just good enough for
me for the time being.

answers to it over there, so I invite you to go back
Chris Schadl, the next step is to fully reverse commit bisect from
kernel 4.4.30 to 4.4.36 in order to identify the last bad commit,
followed immediately by the first good one. Once this good commit has
been identified, it may be reviewed for backporting. Could you please do
