Servers. Booting old kernels is only a bad workaround. I think a lot of

Starting with pure zesty, the current lp:mir/0.26 (0.26.1 candidate
code) seems to happily run every touch app I have tried (except
webbrowser-app which is broken for its own reasons, and can't

For info, I have same symptoms as OP (Aceland Kao) reported (same perf
report), on Ubuntu 16.04 with Kernel 4.4.0-59.80 generic. This is on a
laptop (HP EliteBook G1 480) on a docking station.
I could apparently fix the problem by undocking and docking back the laptop
while still powered.

I could not reproduce this at first using a loop device, but then I
tried scsi_debug. This can be reproduced with a simple dd if=/dev/zero
count=0 of=/dev/sda. Parted takes care to not needlessly delete and

Nice to know about the security reasons, and Windows programs isolation
