I'm dual-booting Windows 10 and Kubuntu 16.10 and I had the issue with
the grub2 config file having a 10 second timeout then defaulting to 30
seconds upon boot.

Okay so since resolvconf and dmasq are not cooperating, I have resorted to
using dnscrypt-proxy. Credit to QkiZ, the dnscrypt-proxy service works EVERY
TIME and ignores the (completely broken) DNS resolution of dnsmasq and
resolvconf. Even with the newest version of network-manager (1.2.6) on
Michael Petch writes:

We currently have a maas 1.9.5 setup on trusty that has 4 subnets
defined in it under 10.x.0.0, one /24, 2 /23s and a /21. With the
latest version of maas installed it appears that it is writing out two
zones configs for x.10.in-addr.arpa in the named.conf.maas file, which

Ok thanks, I ended up installing the gnome manager (with the ovpn gnome
package too) because for some reason the KDE version has most of the
settings missing, so that helped.
An odd thing to mention however though is yesterday the ovpn connection
ran all day perfectly without a single problem,

Confirmed that by changing the permissions on /tmp with the chmod solved
this issue. My permissions were incorrect before and everything works
exactly as expected now.

Actually I just checked and the same console output is emitted when the
media router flag is disabled, only without the segfault. I could try to
get a stacktrace in gdb if you'd like.

@Chad could you elaborate on whether the fix made it into a released
version? I just tested version 57.0.2987.98-0ubuntu0.16.04.1276,
released on 2017-03-15, and now I get the following behaviour:
With media-router flag disabled: "No Cast destinations found".
With media-router flag enabled:
Does this not need fixing in Zesty? If that is the case please explain
why not in the bug description.
