I didn't remove the Nvidia drivers when I upgraded the kernel, and

Thanks @Chris Hermansen. As @Joseph Salisbury suggested, I tried
4.9.0-16, 4.10.0-8, 4.10.0-11, and 4.10.0-19 and the problem doesn't

Okay, so MIGRATION is indeed enabled on the mainline kernel too and that

Hi Carl, ideally you can copy-and-paste output from a terminal or
similar window. After that it gets more complicated to upload e.g.
photos or videos.

The hp mce remote was working fine with kodi running on Ubuntu 16.10. After
upgrade to 17.04,
the remote does not respond anymore. Loads the driver, dmesg looks ok. I
managed to get it to respond a couple of times after a reboot by unpluging an
plugging back in.
Headphones also stop working after logging out and back in, until they
are unplugged and plugged in again.
