Have just done a clean install of Xubuntu 16.04.2. (Linux 4.8.0-54)
Thunar 1.6.11 freezes completely every time a file is changed in the current
folder. In most cases the only way to close it is to kill it with task manager.
For practical purposes this makes it unusable.

@Steve, yes it does. And if the wait is related to the list of NICs from
ifquery, it does make sense (in some way) as that list only contains
"lo", not "eth0". Also "ifquery --state eth0" does not return anything
while it does return "lo=lo" for "lo".
