I upgraded to Ubuntu 17.04 a couple of weeks ago, and the problem
persisted under its version of kernel 4.10.
I just installed all the four packages in the link above, and booted
into the new Kernel on Ubuntu 17.04. The problem still persists. This is

After this my bluetooth speaker simply refuses to switch to a2dp_sink
profile. It always stays at hsp no mater what I do.

I looked at this failure already. This is because we have different
binutils version in -release and -proposed, and when perf is built
against the version in -release then run against the version in
-proposed the library has a different version/name so the one it linked
against cannot be found.

Many thanks for your help. I did what you suggested and it works
perfectly. I haven't changed the setup for years and only use it
occasionally, but this is the first time it has come up with an error.
I am indeed not running an AD controller - this is a small home network
One important detail: I also had an AMD radeon video card plugged in but
the display was connected to the integrated VGA port. After removing the
radeon card, the artefacts went away.

Started xenial container with s390-tools 1.34.0-0ubuntu8.2. Using the
same test case as on yakkety, getting bad udev rules. Upgrading to
1.34.0-0ubuntu8.4 and the rules now are generated correctly without
duplicate labels. Verification is completed.

Accepted sysdig into xenial-proposed. The package will build now and be
available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sysdig/0.8.0-1ubuntu1
in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Applied again the GRUB workaround after the system hangs itself again.
(Before the system blocks I hear always a certain hard drive activity:
so I assume the problem occurs during RAM-HARD DRIVE data flows).
