It seems that a daemon restart can cause an issue in the vnc port
allocation.
Steps to reproduce:
1. start three guests with a vnc console like
2. check they should have ports like this:

I have the feeling to have seen this in the past, but can't remember details.
I need to find the fix that I think exists already.

I debugged two maas issues at once: one on arm and one on power8.
I just looked at the wrong one :-)
Remove the quotes - this one here just works.
Eventually we have to wait until the new curtin gets released, but that is
already tracked.

Ah. I was using 'chroot /target ping www.google.com', not 'in-target'
since 'in-target' takes a lock and doesn't allow you to run it while
other commands are installing.
If I wait until the target setup has finished and then run 'in-target
ping www.google.com', I also see this name resolution fail

My guess is this might be being caused by our Ubuntu One dialog that is
run from inside our plugin. That would fit Richard's guess that we are
using cairo from the non-main thread (i.e. using the plugin thread).
The solution to that would be to backport the auth code into 3.20.

This is shell extensions plugin. It's supposed to handle not running
under GNOME Shell but it looks like a recent change to show the errors
in toasts is exposing this when it should be ignored.
