The new version 4.13.0.19 of Linux-signed-image and linux-image-generic
seem to have a sependency conflict/version mismatch on UEFI systems,
which causes linux-signed-image to try to self-uninstall.

Port gparted to gtk3
This bug has to do with the frag deflator thread in mksquashfs. I
haven't fully determined the problem but it is likely due to parallel
processing (NOTE: the '-processors 1' option does not solve the bug).
There's an out-of-tree patch that disables the thread by removing its
working queue:

This just started happening to me after I switched from 16.04 to 17.10.
I have a KVM switch (to switch my keyboard/mouse to multiple machines)
and an HDMI switch (to switch the monitors). When I was running 16.04 I
could switch the physical display away from the Linux box for days and
