Here’s the error message from terminal:

I have to confirm this bug. 300 seconds timeout. CUPS does not reopen
connections again. Notifiers are shutdown.
The workaround is to enable the web interface. But this should not be
necessary. CUPS should work without the web interface, as that is the default
behaviour defined by upstream.

As recommended, I have uninstalled xserver-xorg-input-synaptics, updated
libinput10 and libinput-bin to 1.10.3-2, otherwise updated the whole system,
rebooted and the problem is still present for this Logitech wireless touchpad.
Reinstalling xserver-xorg-input-synaptics takes care of the problem

Below is the procedure to reproduce this issue
1) Any PC (Ubuntu Desktop): setup iBeacon advertiser
2) Caracalla 3003 (Ubuntu Server/Core) run:
./scan.sh
By default WiFi supplicant will run on Caracalla
You can check the WiFi scan results
This bug is missing log files that will aid in diagnosing the problem.
While running an Ubuntu kernel (not a mainline or third-party kernel)
please enter the following command in a terminal window:

This version did NOT fix the problem for me; VirtualBox is still hanging
the computer with 4.13-series kernels.

Looks like the ath10k_pci device drops off the PCI bus completely. I
guess you can't find the device in `lspci` when this happens.
Does the device re-appear if you rescan the PCI bus? i.e. `# echo 1 >
/sys/bus/pci/rescan`.
