While GNOME seems to be fine, it looks like compiz is causing a race-condition
with another process.
A workaround is to delay compiz launch for a few seconds.

It seems zsh no longer prints the "command not found: foo" message itself;
everything is left to the handler.
Therefore, passing --no-failure-msg to /usr/lib/command-not-found in
/etc/zsh_command_not_found causes no message to be printed at all:

I've spotted this also after a clean install of 18.04.
See attached screen shot. Icons missing from Settings (Wifi, Background,
Language and Region etc). Tweak tool showing Adwaita theme selected.
