This is true for Debian-based distros, but I was noticing that Carla's
default paths, which look at /usr/lib/dssi in this case, don't work for
Fedora since Fedora puts everything in /usr/lib64. So, whereas the
install location for hexter in Debian needs to be /usr/lib/dssi, in
Fedora
Whoops - I think this might be my fault. I did indeed install hexter in
the "multi-arch" path as Debian normally requires. I thought I had fixed
it by altering the desktop file to point to the correct location.
In any case, the new location probably also means the extra path needs
to be added to o

only seems to affect Wayland sessions (i.e. GDM login screen and Ubuntu

this is a known bug in speedtest-cli and has been long-fixed. please
update the version in bionic so we don't have to keep installing this
from source.

Install of NVIDIA graphics card drivers from NVIDIA script.
DKMS (needed for re-compile with new kernel versions) fails as the

After upgrading to Ubuntu focal fossa development branch the usb_modeswitch
does not seem to work any more on a Toshiba laptop.
Two modems I have D-Link DWM-156 and Huawei E3372 show up as drives and stay
like that until I use "Eject" in Gnome or explicitly use usb_modeswitc
The NVIDIA driver compile script which caused the DKMS barf was:
NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-440.64.run
It's too large to upload.

I uploaded coderay version 1.1.2-3 to Debian unstable [1] and it fixes
this regression:
