Oh come to think of it, there is a commonality between Firefox, VLC and
Chrome. That is they all try to follow the system theme but all three
are NOT GTK apps. They each use different toolkits. So I fear this is
the same basic problem that will need to be fixed in three different
toolkits.

The key thing I've noticed here is that if I grab the device via libusb

little different to the keys that do work (like vol+).
For example Vol-Down gives:

This almost works.. it fails for me when i have a large number of files
to backup, and works fine when there's just a few. The number of files
is not consistent though, with ~2000 files it sometimes works and
sometimes doesn't.
I'm using a swift-based provider and swift itself can upload the

Title:
Kernel 5.3 fails to boot on Inspiron 15
@Daniel Thank you, will see where I get with
sudo modprobe ath10k_core btcoex_enable=1 bt_ant_diversity=1
as seems to have been suggested under the related bug.
Will try 5GHz and disabling WiFi, but the latter can obviously only be a
temporary diagnostics step.

Interesting note: there's two similar laptops at hand:
DELL Inspiron 15 3000 with i3 - works fine with 5.3 kernel.
DELL Inspiron 15 3000 with Pentium(R) Silver N5000 - 5.3 does not boot!
