Carla works very well with the Wine64 Bridge. Only the Wine32 starts the
VST32 Plugins in a Window with a black screen with the NVIDIA-Meta-
Driver-440.
I've uninstalled the wine-development version 5.5 and installed the
latest winehq-devel 5.7 from WineHQ and recompiled the
/var/log/installer/syslog should be enough. Thanks!

I forgot to tell you that I never see any dialog when I plug the
earphone. It's a feature of some desktop environments, right? I have
never seen it in Xfce.

In my laptop the 'headset' mode makes the headset totally unavailable, both the
speaker and mic. The 'headphone' mode is okay with headset speaker and laptop
internal mic.
And I do think that there should be the same POPUP-DIALOG for user to
choose in KDE and Xfce4 environment.

My problem is different from the comment you provided, LOL.
1. I'm using Kubuntu. Kubuntu DOESN'T HAVE the POPUP-DIALOG because KDE
environment uses PulseAudio to manage audio system. When a user plug in a
headset there are no options to choose from, the program sets it automatically.

The stutter is probably because clicking that option involves launching
a new process to restart the login screen. I don't think it is expected
to be smooth...

Public bug reported:
Ubuntu 20.04 dark mode is not making the top bar menus dark.
Also the grant permission dialog is not dark too.
Where are a lot of guides how to fix it. Users have to install different tweaks
etc.
But is it going to be fixed in 20.04?
