This video is taken under the same conditions as the previous (emacs-

After upgrading 3 servers from linux-image-5.3.0-40-generic to linux-
image-5.4.0-48-generic I have started seeing the following queue
timeouts from IP-over-Infiniband (ipoib) devices. The devices in
question are (with newest available firmware, 2.42.5000):

Here's an example from QMP_requests_and_replies_from_libvirtd.log.gz
attached earlier to the bug by Kashyap. We can see two device_del
commands prior to only seeing a single event emitted by QEMU:

# zgrep 0x7f768806eaf0
I have disabled compton as follows:
* Quit Firefox and other applications that have shown these problems
* Kill compton
* Restart applications
Unfortunately, I still see the same behavior, in just a few seconds of
tinkering. I'll leave compton off until I have to start it (e.g., for

While testing >=v5.0.0 on Fedora 32 I've stumbled across the following
change in QEMU:
https://github.com/qemu/qemu/commit/cce8944cc9efab47d4bf29cfffb3470371c3541b
The change suggests that previously parallel requests to detach a PCIe
device (such as virtio-blk) from QEMU would result in the
I haven't checked the other rdeps but they are potentially broken. Those
are the rdeps:

* golang-github-prometheus-client-golang
* nomad
* prometheus

I'm not entirely sure what happened but it appears the build completely
broke on amd64 with a majority of the tests failing. I fear the
unrelated minor version bump (2.13.0 to 2.13.1) may have really gotten
things in a bad state.

Took me a bit longer than expected, as I ran into some other unrelated issue.
Unfortunately I was not successful. What I did on a pristine Ubuntu 20.04.1
install with a luks-encrypted setup was:
