When the backlight is managed by radeon, writing to
/sys/class/backlight/radeon_bl0/brightness doesn't do anything. Although
changing brightness with Fn+Left/Fn+Right works but the value in

I think it is, because changing
"/sys/class/backlight/radeon_bl0/brightness" by systemd-backlight
doesn't work.
So it can be 1) brightness won't be change for first time, or 2)
brightness can't be changed early. Either way, it's a driver bug.

Using 2.0.1 from hirsute-proposed it seems like I'm still hitting this.
Move and replace .config/google-chrome and seems after using it for a
day, shutdown, boot up, same issue again.
Going to see if I can somehow try to reproduce this on a different disk
or in a VM with xfstests or something.

I can confirm the remedie of removing all other users except one from
the sudo group (see psychotrain65 from 2020-06-14):

The duplicate Status could be wrong. It doesn't only affect VirtualBox. The
following things aren't working for me when booting with kernel 5.8 (with 5.4
everything works fine):
- keyboard backlight
- keyb
I would, but that appears to be a zero-length file - I'll check back in
a few hours.

with a broadcom BCM4312.
