sshuttle autopkgtest is rather lengthy
To manage
For hirsute, I recommend a straight backport from impish, since after
all the -6 release was targeted exactly for this one change (plus that
extra recommends, which I'd hope it's noop for 99.9% for hexchat
users…).
I'm uploading this already.

FTBFS with PHP 8.0 on Impish

Public bug reported:
Ubuntu moved their default IRC channels from freenode.net to
libera.chat.
Hence, we need to update hexchat to change its default network.
[Impact]
* users will connect by default to freenode, which is not a good idea
* also libera.chat should be in the available network
This was fixed for impish in 2.14.3-6.

ah thanks for the tip there Christian (that the version number is
wrong). Is this because of where the change lies or ? Wanting to make
sure I understand for future patches.

Thanks for the update @kaihengfeng
I think I spoke too soon. The system just crashed again :(
There was a set of system updates yesterday from Ubuntu for 20.04 that I
ran. Not sure if that contributed.
Can we add some debug capability to capture a little more info on what
is happening?

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a
specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu
in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source
packages so that people
