After this report, it automatically ran something like dpkg --configure
--pending, which succeeded in running the lilo update. The only thing it
didn't do was run autoremove to remove the outdated libraries and stuff.
Rebooted into the new kernel via lilo successfully as well.

This is still a problem but I'm not convinced it's enough of a problem
to warrant reopening the ticket.
I run into this because my `systemd --user` process persists between
logins because I have persistent service units running under it. For
most people `systemd --user` will exit when they log out
Another lazy way around this is to do Alt-F2, then type in R. Might be
easier than creating a folder then deleting it.

I've had the same problem in Ubuntu 20.04 and it turned out that the
entry in /usr/share/thumbnailers/atril.thumbnailer was wrong:
application/vnd-comicbook.rar instead of application/vnd.comicbook-rar.
I changed it and now it works.

I've also noticed that "auto" and "TLS1+" have the same meaning when
passed to --SSLPROTO. That's part of the problem. So now there is
duplication, and no way to get opportunistic crypto. If auto was
previously opportunistic, then the change to remove it should be rolled
back.
