I just noticed that ubuntu-drivers-common for Bionic has stopped phasing
which means users wouldn't have the version with the attribute
'system_device_specific_metapackages' available but ... there's no
version of update-notifier for Bionic which has list-oem-metapackages.

and hirsute. The LRM version of the driver was tested against the linux

Hi folks,
we don't need reports of what works and what doesn't.
We already know that only live media are affected - installed systems
usually don't boot via removable media path - but if they do, they go
via fallback loader binary which works around the issue as it does not
interpret its argument
The packages (linux-generic-hwe-20.04 and friends) appear in the
manifest for focal daily builds so I believe this is fixed now.

Looking at a bunch of the crash reports in the Error Tracker none of
them have ubuntu-drivers-common listed in their Dependencies but if that

Tested latest Lubuntu Impish ISO dated 29-07-2021 on 2 Dell computers Optiplex
7060 and Optiplex 7040
if I used "startup disk creator" to create the boot media I had 2 failures as

Impor
3 days later ... I've realized that after restart, the system acts just
like before, ignoring /etc/hdparm.conf and Gnome Disks pooling every 10
minutes. If I again, after restart, disable SMART in DISKS and re-enable
it with smartctl -s on /dev/sdX it will resolve the problem till next
reboot.

I recorded pcap and captured moment just before crash. It doesnt looks
like there was any MDNS at all at this moment, only suspicious is many
weird DNS requests. (spinesystems.solutions is my local domain set on
pc). Not sure what generated them.
