I've had my m6700 since 2012 and have never been able to use any

This is a log file contains some errors when using firefox 97.0.1 under Wayland.
Under Xwayland, firefox has no problem at all and it can decode videos using
vaapi.

detecting and using your gamepad.
It's not auto-connected though. Can you try:
