Running sudo apt install xdg-desktop-portal-gnome resolved the problem
on Vivaldi and Chrome on my Ubuntu 22.04 (upgraded from 20.04) machine.
It did however introduce another problem as fuse was removed during the
installation. .appimages no longer work. Is there another workaround?

After "auto security updates" updated my libvirt I have noticed that
forward mode open is adding LIBVIRT rules to my iptables for the default
network. This was supposed to happen with forward mode nat, but not with
forward mode open.
apt-cache policy libvirt-daemon:

GnuCash is also borked for me as of upgrading to Ubuntu 22.04 from
21.10.
I can still see my accounts list unlike @jik, but all of the other
issues are present: there is no recent files list, my last-opened file
is not automatically opened and preferences are not saved.

I checked to see if I had any restore points for Virtual Box. I had two
restore points for Oracle Virtual Box. I did a system restore back to
the latest previous version. I have one more older restore point for
Oracle Virtual Box which would restore me back to the version I have
before Version 6

I do not think this is an LXD Bug !
I think there is some problem with the "upgrade" process
do-release-upgrade -d
As I stated a "clean install" of 22.04 everything works.
On an "upgrade" is where chroup2 gets screwed up.
One piece of info I forgot to mention...
Before doing do-release-upgrade
