I just installed Ubuntu 24.4 and set my favourite keyboard shortcuts.
I want to use Super+Left and Super+Right to navigate between workspaces. I
disabled the "split view left" and "split view right" which I don't like at
all, and set "Move to workspace left" to Super
I am facing similar issue with Ubuntu 22.04 crashing repeatedly with
error "gnome-shell crashed with sigsev in wl_event_loop_dispatch"

Since byobu 6.5, the shell spawned by byobu-shell is started as a login
shell using -l
(https://github.com/dustinkirkland/byobu/commit/4a2ebccb627055e3605e39d300c6cf23d12939a1).
This breaks byobu autostart with fish, as the autostart code in
config.fish uses status --is-login

I can reproduce this much more easily and consistently when tiling
chrome and vscode both running under xwayland.
e.g.
1. Tile vscode to the right (super+right)
2. Tile chrome to the left (super+left)
3. both apps are unresponsive to input, chrome can be seen flickering as in OPs
video with gnome

The proposed workaround works for me for the 470 using gt710 card, but I
feel that it slows the windows rendering while moving them (like a slow
FPS).

I just ran into this same issue. I have a server that started out on
16.04. I just did "do-release-upgrade -m server" to upgrade to 18.04 and
then again to 20.04. After the 20.04 upgrade finished the server would
no longer boot with the exact same error described here:
