I made an interesting observation. If I unplug all bug one monitor (I
have been using 3 in tests up until now), the crash does not occur in
X11. I have not tried wayland yet.

I just tested remmina 1.4.35+dfsg-0ubuntu5 from proposed repo: RDP
connections works as expected so problem is solved.
NOTE: I've tested amd64 and arm64 versions connecting one against the
other.

Accepted cloud-init into mantic-proposed. The package will build now and
be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cloud-
init/24.1.3-0ubuntu1~23.10.4 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed

Sorry, although a technical expert my specific Linux knowledge is pretty rusty
