on the USB boot-install disk for 24.04.1.

I think that would work although "~24.04.1" is more commonly used per

You're right. I've just tested this myself on the latest version of the
manual page and the problem is no longer present. I can only assume that
the problem was fixed in pandoc as per your comment #4.
