I just upgraded my daily driver using the test plan above and it worked
for me. I am using Steam and have i386 libraries installed so I had
fortunately seen the news on this before trying to upgrade earlier. It
seems to have worked for me.
Some notes on my system:
* I was using kernel 6.14.2-06140
This looks to be caused by incus using change_profile to change
confinement. AppArmor is allowing this but only to a point creating a
stack of the incus policy and unconfined. We will need to investigate
the specifics of exactly what is going on here. But in the mean time you

preinstalled Ubuntu.
I have meanwhile managed to Update, because I have diabled third parities deps
from the update list.
