information.
I can't test it since I use Gentoo now. In Gentoo there is no such option and
changing of page size is done in different manner.

I don't know. I tried to make Likewise 5 package in Jaunty to work in summer,
but had no success.
I don't work there anymore, but I may make a model network on virtual machines
and try it if you wish.
Can this package be installed on Jaunty or it is Lucid-specific?

New results.
Autologin works...mostly.
If I shut down the computer using Power button (not long press, just press and
quick release), the "Welcome to GNOME" screen appers.
Any other shutdown method (including Reset and "accidental" loss of power by
disconnecting power cord) - works.

Yes, value 30 probably helped.
Maybe that's because the computer experiencing troubles has integrated SiS
chipset and video card and I know that SiS chips are very slow.

Why? It returns that there is libreadline.so.6, but a package octave-3.0 refers
to libreadline.so.5 which is missing. =)

That is a bug.
I have installed Ubuntu 9.04 on one machine, customized it to my needs and then
deploy it by moving entire filesystem from machine to machine with tar.
I have no shutdown and switch user option
dmesg shows no errors. I have found the way to enable keyboard back
after using hotkeys. The solution is to switch to another virtual
terminal (i.e. Ctrl+Alt+F1) and then to X terminal (Alt+F7). After that
everything works fine.
