me on Ubuntu 18.10 when using Mediathekview.
ps.:I had to reboot; maybe a logout/login would do it also

I have the same problem using Ubuntu 9.04. There is no difference between
'only' locking out or going into hibernate.
The fix above changed nothing at my /sbin/unix_chkpwd settings and therefore
didn't work.
My workaround still is using the 'switch user' button which logs me in (into
the runnin
