Fair enough. Resume performance in particular on this hardware is pretty
flaky though. It often hangs after password entry and has to be ctrl-
alt-backspaced, but i'm not able to get a repeat of this exact crash so
far.

"The user interface of GramoFile has a windows-like look-and-feel,
making it fairly easy to use. "
In fact, this is a command line app. From the description I would expect
a GUI.

This problem seems hardware-related.
After installing:
Athlon 64 X2 6000
1Gb RAM
Asus M2N-E SLI
Nvidia 7300GT
Seagate SATA HD
I've had chronic lockups. System is stable for 5s-5mins before locking
up hard, unable to restart X. Same behaviour in Feisty/Gutsy x86 and
amd64.
On the same system Debi
Confirmed still present in 2.6.24.17-generic

I'm experiencing constant lockups on 2.6.24-16-generic. This is actually
not a new problem, I had it on this hardware under Gutsy. Been using a
different distro, but installed Hardy to test it.
System locks up solid a few seconds after login. Nothing works, requires
a hard re

Fault is reproducable, btw. I'm only getting this for the guest account,
using the fast user switcher to other accounts is working fine.

Suspend/resume working fine on this board/GPU combo, but hibernate is
definitely broken.

Steps taken to reproduce:
Open totem, select M4V video file (I think H.264 and MP3 audio, but not
100% sure about this). First frame shows, video does not play. Note that
on this occasion, totem did not crash out totally, but froze. Had to use
"force quit" to kill totem. Backtrace attached, please
