The settings *are* saved... there's just a bad bug in the code that
parses the backend settings. Notice that the schedule, encryption,
files, and whether or not you've turned it on/off are
Confirmed. I see the exact same problem trying to start Eclipse on
Oneiric.

added ICQ, IRC, Yahoo, MSN, Facebook Chat, Google. I told it to save
passwords where applicable.
- Shutdown computer and wait any amount of time (5mins or 12 hours...
Also - When Facebook Chat is showing the Authorization Failed in the
accounts window, it *does* look the password is already filled in and is
the correct length.

I agree that it makes more sense to have it on the panel. Additionally,
there should be a way to remove it completely. Those of us running non-
Expo-type plugins and only using the vpswitcher plugin to move around
desktops find it a waste of space (that does nothing when clicked).

Ran into this same issue when I tried to uncheck the Enhanced Zoom
Desktop plugin (which didn't seem to be serving any purpose as all the
internal settings are set to 'disabled').
Got the same results when I installed ccsm and tested the same operation
on a clean install under VirtualBox.

Totally agree. At the very least, portaudio19-dev and libportaudio-dev
should conflict with each other - since the last one installed will
overwrite portaudio.h with their own version.

I think the deletion of 20packagekit was just a test Jonathan wanted the
original poster to perform in order to confirm where the problem lies,
and is not an outright fix.
Upgrading packagekit yesterday showed that the file is still part of the

The same thing happened to me. I disabled bindwood, but not before it
completely trashed all my bookmark toolbar. When I restarted after
disabling, I found that it had overwritten all of them with two repeated

I found this bug because I thought my card might be defective, but I see
this is the 'norm'.

I can confirm what JC experienced. I had renamed my .mozilla directory
and found FF crashing everytime I tried to start it clean. After I
removed moonlight-plugin-mozilla, it starts normally. This is on the

from source as I do every day.

Synaptic. Pinning the versions will prevent any of the utilities from
seeing the updates.
After you backlevel the following packages to the 9 release, create a new file

after upgrading the libc6 packages. taking them back to the ubuntu9
versions made the issue disappear.

I can confirm. Same problem with my karmic install.
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

That's probably why they still have 180.51 listed as the current stable
version.
It looks like 185.18.14 is the release candidate now, and also fixes bug

I've got the exact same issue with a completely patched Karmic (5/24).
I'm supposing the following are the cause of the two exception windows:
amarok: BEGIN: bool AmarokScript::ScriptImporter::loadQtBinding(const QString)
amarok: importing qt bindings qt.core
amarok: END__: bool
Seems to be fixed in Karmic with KDE4.3beta packages.
