I'm not very knowledgeable about barcodes. Could you please test something for
me? What happens if you change line 87 of
/usr/share/inkscape/extensions/Barcode/EAN13.py replacing computeChecksum with
getChecksum.

But I would be happy to license my SVG interpretation of the Audacity
logo with whatever license is most appropriate, even as far as Public
Domain. My only concern is that by distributing it I may be infringing
on the Audacity projects copyright or trademark or the original artwork.

I've started educating myself about Ubuntu packaging to see if I could
fix this issue myself. But it seems that this isn't just an issue of
changing the compile time flags. I've also noticed that the original
packager has patched the build system files with out using a patch
system and I would need
