I've found I get a very similar error that causes Nautilus to crash if I
try to view a folder containing SVG images I created in Inkscape, and I
guess these are what gnome-shell is trying to create a thumbnail for.
The same error also occurs viewing the images with eog. These images

Using Unity 3D with an Nvidia 9600GT video card, nvidia-173-updates
drivers (version 173.14.30-0ubuntu5). When interacting with
applications, they don't show any changes unless I move the window. So
eg. in gnome-terminal, if I enter a command, I have to move the terminal

it's slightly different as even moving windows doesn't cause the screen
to refresh, I have to open the activities view and close it again to see
that a window has updated or even moved. It did work fine for a long

ABI change in xorg 1.9 breaks legacy nvidia-96 and nvidia-173 drivers in
ZaHACKieL, are you using Ubuntu 9.10? I haven't had this problem since
updating to 10.04. I never got it again after enabling apport in 9.10
either though, it seems to be a very rare occurrence.

I've got the same problem. Ubuntu loads very quickly to the login
screen, then takes 26 seconds to show my wallpaper + icons + panel. I've
attached my .xsession-errors when running gnome-session with the --debug
option. I only started my session and loaded gnome-terminal to copy the

libsdl1.2debian, as all games depend on this package rather than libsdl1
.2debian-alsa directly. That's why this bug is filed against libsdl1.2
rather than hedgewars (or any other game where this bug occurs).

Same issue here (I reported a duplicate). I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 on
both computers, and the printer is shared using samba. I also tried
printing from a KDE application (Digikam) on Ubuntu and get the same
thing. There is also no indication in either print dialog that the
printer is offline.

I get similar behaviour. Ark crashes sometimes when opening zip files,
but other times it doesn't. When it does open them, extracting has no
effect. It's as if everything works fine but no files are actually
extracted. Extracting the files from Nautilus in Ubuntu works fine.

In Kubuntu 9.10 development version OpenOffice is very ugly by default
and no icons theme is used. Installing openoffice.org-gtk and changing
the OpenOffice settings to use an icon theme fixes this.
