I'm currently running 14.04.1 and I try to install tuxguitar (version 1.2-17)
from official repository.
This package recommends tuxguitar-alsa and tuxguitar-oss.
The package tuxguitar-oss depends on package osspd which is marked as
conflict with oss-compat but oss-compat rec
Before this firmware upgrade, bluetooth was OK. Now, I can't use
bluetooth anymore (Intel 7260 chipset provides both Wifi and Bluetooth.
On my computer at least). I'm not sure the problem is related, I need to
test it furthermore.
I'll post more information on this bug report soon.

For information,
I'm experiencing the same "Microcode SW error detected" problem with Intel 7260
wifi chipset. I've installed the firmware given by JamesE in comment #35 and I
confirm the connectivity is much more stable. No more disconnect in 1 hour.

The problem still exists on my pc but I can't reproduce it on a
virtualbox machine with similar configuration.

After a fresh install of Ubuntu Oneiric, the boot sequence has become
very slow.
My system is installed on top of a LVM volume over a mdadm raid1 array.
According to dmesg (see attachment), there is a huge delay on lvm volumes
detection.
